This IMO Awareness Level 0 model online training course is for those staff that are involved in marine, port and offshore operations that may lead to a release of pollutants into the marine environment. It has been developed and designed to be conducted as an intensive one day training course with a mixture of theory and table top exercises.
This PetroKnowledge online training course will deal with some of the key elements of how oil behaves in the marine environment, the tools that can be utilized to mitigate the impacts of the pollution and the end points of a response. This online training course is divided into modules which may be taught individually or in blocks, with corresponding exercises.
What are the Goals?
All of the objectives are theory based and are knowledge objectives with table top exercises to test the theory element.
Each of the lessons in the online training course has a clearly stated lesson objective, stating what the students will be able to do after each lesson. The Enabling Objectives (EOs) clearly state what the students can be expected to do during the lesson. All objectives are clearly verifiable with indicators.
