Opening Positions
Freelance Instrumentation Trainer
PetroKnowledge is the industry leader in providing training services to the oil and gas, petrochemical and energy industries. We offer courses that match international qualities and client expectations. We are now hiring training instructors to conduct training courses on multiple aspects of Instrumentation.
Key Accountabilities
- The Instructor is required to deliver quality training courses on Instrumentation and oversee the training activities
- Authoring of training and competency materials
- Verification of and participation in assessments activities
- Uses training equipment, supplies, facility, and fiscal resources in implementing and delivering quality training programs
- Manages training activities to ensure course objectives are met during the prescribed time period
- Serves as a subject matter expert in the design and maintenance of training courses and materials in coordination with training development specialists.
- Assists with the development of new training and materials and the revision of existing training programs
- Maintains and develops the knowledge bases required for delivering training by reviewing reference materials such as manuals, handbooks, bulletins, and trade periodicals; attending training sessions and seminars; and visiting field locations
Mandatory Requirements
- Must be an engineer or a graduate in a technical subject
- Minimum 10 years of experience in related field
- Experience as technician and above in Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation
- Effective communicator with a genuine interest and knowledge in the subject matter
- Up-to-date knowledge about the latest technologies in the field
- Mastery of PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI and Digital Communication
- Strong knowledge on flow assurance, pipelines, valves and actuators technology
- Add on certifications are desired

Freelance Offshore & Marine Technology Instructor
PetroKnowledge provides a litany of highly effective offshore & marine competency training courses designed to train and develop all levels of marine and offshore engineering. We are now looking for experienced professionals and consultants in the field of offshore & marine to conduct public and in-house training courses and workshops in key locations in Europe, Middle East and South America.
Professional Expectations
- Professionally conduct training courses for international delegates and adapt course content and teaching techniques to their needs, requirements and company specifications
- Remain current in the discipline and update course content when appropriate to reflect the current levels of knowledge in the discipline
- Maintain a course outline for each assigned course
- Availability to work at flexible schedules
- Organize, present and deliver up-to-date instructional materials
- Provide practical and real-life examples and case studies based on relevant experience in the field
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Marine Engineering and/or related discipline and certificates
- Minimum of 10 years of intensive and on-the-job experience in offshore oil and gas projects and sites
- Technical expertise and in-depth knowledge in Floating Productions (i.e. FPSO, FLNG, etc.)
- Relevant experience in Offshore engineering, structures and marine terminals
- At least 8 years of significant experience as a trainer, instructor or professor in the subject or related discipline
