Why Choose this Training Course?
Why Choose this Training Course?
The major goals of this course are to develop an understanding of Engineering Schematics and recognition of a variety of standard drawing symbols. The training course starts with a general introduction to engineering drawing and representation of views, leading to the presentation and reading of schematics and symbols that are related to welding, piping, hydraulics and pneumatics.
This Petroknowledge training course will feature:
- Fundamental topics related to Engineering Drawings will first be presented
- Presentation and reading of schematics and symbols that are related to welding, piping, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Relevant exercises to emphasis the fundamental aspects reading and interpreting schematics
What are the Goals?
What are the Goals?
Upon completion of this course, attendees will have a practical understanding of Engineering Drawings and would have covered the following topics:
- Learn the definition and characteristics of schematics of a schematic
- Identify various types of lines on schematics
- Demonstrate the ability to determine piping diagrams
- Describe a fluid-power system
- Demonstrate how to read and interpret a complete welding symbol
Who is this Training Course for?
Who is this Training Course for?
The training course is primarily intended for individuals, with or without an engineering background, who need to be familiarized with standard methods of reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings.
The training course will offer background information that can be used to recognize standard Engineering Drawings which can then be used to plan effective installation and inspection of plants and equipment.
The training course will also benefit senior engineers who would like to increase or refresh their knowledge of reading schematics and symbols.
How will this Training Course be Presented?
How will this be Presented?
The training course combines presentations and discussions of topics covered with relevant examples.
It combines knowledge of fundamental principles related to schematic Drawings and symbols, and applicable standards and best industry practices and enforces learning with Question & Answer sessions to maximise the benefits to the participants.
Class exercises will be conducted to emphasis fundamental principles of reading schematics and identifying symbols.
